Estonian Defense Forces use Stream C UAV to monitor the Latvian border

The 2nd Infantry Brigade of the Defense Forces supported the Police and Border Guard Board by monitoring Estonia’s southern border with a Stream C unmanned aircraft system (UAS), produced by Threod Systems to enable the detection of illegal border crossing attempts.

UAV’s in the Search and Rescue Exercise

The Estonian Rescue Board’s Järva County Rescue Team, Ambulance, Police and Border Guard Board, Environmental Inspectorate, Defense League and EST-SAR joint exercise took place in Nurmsi, Estonia. The scenario was to respond to an incident involving emergency landing of an AN-2 aircraft and 5 skydivers. The aim was to involve as many parties and equipment as possible to evaluate the readiness and cooperation to deal with a high complexity event.

The GOF U-Space Project Outcomes

Recently, Threod Systems representatives, took part in the closing conference of the GOF U-Space project organized by EANS. Based on seven demo flights conducted during the summer of 2019, it was established that for aviation safety the cooperation between drone pilots, developers of unmanned systems, state representatives and ATM operators is crucial.

Threods’ Stream UAV – the first drone to fly from Estonia to Finland

For the first time in history a drone flew from Estonia to Finland over the Gulf of Finland. As a part of the SEASAR GOF U-space demonstration trials Threod Systems Stream UAV flew over the gulf and landed in Torbacka, Finland.

Ämari Air Show 2019

Threod Systems took part in the Ämari air show 2019. The show also marked the 100th anniversary of the Estonian Air Force’s foundation. Quadcopter Titan performed a demonstration flight among 30 other aircrafts presented at the show.

Stream C UAV performed at Artillery Battalion Live-fire exercise to support Artillery Battalion soldiers that practiced shooting 155mm howitzers from multiple firing positions. Stream C UAV supported the Forward Observers training. The UAV system identified targets, adjusted fire and ran battle damage assessment after every successful fire mission.

Exercise Crossed Swords 2019

Threod Systems contributed to the cyber defense exercise Crossed Swords 2019, organized by NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) and CERT.LV in Tallinn, Estonia. Technical experts, members of national Cyber Commands and special forces operators participated in the event. The exercise focused on advancing cyber Red Team members skills in preventing, detecting and responding to full-scale cyber operations. Additionally, this year the Cyber Command of the Estonian Defence Forces provided the command component.

EOS VTOL UAV flights on A Beautiful Winter Day

This week we took advantage of the weather and performed EOS VTOL flights in extreme cold, but very beautiful weather conditions.

Threod Systems in collaboration with Milrem supported British Army Warfighting Experiment.

For 4 weeks from mid-November to mid-December British Army organized an international warfighting experiment. The Experiment for 2018 was named Exercise Autonomous Warrior (Land). The exercise was held on the Salisbury Plain and the British Army Battleground. It brought together high-tech industry leaders in Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS).

Threod Systems STREAM C UAV has gone VTOL!

We are proud to announce that Threod Systems has successfully integrated VTOL capability into our Stream C UAV. Stream C is perceived as NATO class I UAV that does the class II job and with the new feature Threod is aiming for an utterly competitive position on the market.
The first public presentation of Stream C VTOL will be at the international defence exhibition IDEX 2019 in Abu Dhabi from 17th to 25th of February.

Following an integration effort by Threod engineers of its TSAP-6000 autopilot with a Sagetech transponder/ADS-B Out, a UAS test flight was attempted and proved to be an unqualified success. As a result, Threod Systems can now offer this integrated solution as an additional customization option.
