Threods’ Stream UAV – the first drone to fly from Estonia to Finland

For the first time in history a drone flew from Estonia to Finland over the Gulf of Finland. As a part of the SESAR GOF U-space demonstration trials Threod Systems Stream UAV flew over the gulf and landed in Torbacka, Finland.

Stream took-off at 11:35 from Muraste region in Harju county, Estonia, loitered and headed north. The flight could be tracked from Flightradar and live-stream on Threods’ YouTube channel. Around 12:45 Stream UAV landed in Finland. The weather was clear and a true pleasure to operate.

The SESAR U-Space project demonstrates the advanced drone operations including both manned and unmanned aircraft in shared airspace, with a view to accelerating the uptake of U-space in Europe.
